Dear Meadowbrook Elementary Families & Community,
Welcome to the Meadowbrook Elementary School website. We hope you find many useful resources here and continue to periodically visit to learn about upcoming school events, programs and recognitions. I am very excited to continue into my sixth year as principal at Meadowbrook Elementary School. Our theme for 2024-2025 is “Let’s Be Bold, Eagles Never Fold!” and our vision remains “Meadowbrook will provide rigorous standards-based instruction to meet the needs of the 21st Century learner in a safe and secure learning environment.” We have a great team, and we look forward to working with our students, families, PTA, community and Partners in Education to make this a very special year for Meadowbrook Elementary School. Personal:
- My son graduated from University of Central Florida with computer science engineering degree, launched an edtech company and lives in South Florida
- My daughter graduated from University of Florida with industrial engineering degree, works for a Fortune 500 company and lives in South Florida
- My wife is an elementary school teacher with Broward County Public Schools
A few key accomplishments from 2023-2024:
- Reached 1 to 1 laptop computer to student ratio
- Held extensive tutoring camps for most students
- Strengthened Dual Language Program in Grade K-5
- Increased proficiency in all Grades & Subjects (compared to prior year)
- Increased Grade 3 Reading from 27 to 42% proficiency
- Increased Grade 4 Reading from 32 to 43% proficiency
- Increased Grade 5 Reading from 37 to 42% proficiency
- Increased Grade 3 Math from 27 to 46% proficiency
- Increased Grade 4 Math from 46 to 59% proficiency
- Increased Grade 5 Math from 36 to 46% proficiency
- Increased Grade 5 Science from 31 to 33% proficiency
