Congratulations to Leadership Development Program Participants

The Non-Instructional Leadership Development Program is a joint venture between the Office of Talent Development and Sheridan Technical Center that began in 2008.  Since that time, 94 non-instructional employees have completed the program.  These graduates represent 20 different personnel job classifications and were selected through a competitive application process.  The program consists of 214 hours of blended learning under the instruction of Sharon Curington, Arts & Information Technology Department at Sheridan Technical Center, which is completed over a nine-month period.

Marie Cruz, Laura Curfman, Patricia Green, Rochelle Lawson, Darlene Leon, Dorothea Mullen, TaShawna Mullen, Olimpia Peters, Albertha Peterson, Lakeshia Smith and
Nancy Waech.
The program’s goal is to provide non-instructional employees with the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to perform effectively in supervisory positions.  Graduates may use this program toward college credits at Barry University’s School of Adult & Continuing Education.  For more information about earning a degree from Barry and the benefits available to all District and school-based employees, visit (
