Elementary School Students Launch Rockets with Help from High School Students

Twelve fifth grade students from Nova Blanche Forman Elementary School are participating in a mentoring program increasing their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) skills.

Nova High School students participating in the Engineering Club are mentoring Nova Blanche Forman Elementary students.  The students are learning how to build both paper rockets and hydro rockets with guidance from the Nova High Engineering Club.
During the rocket competition all of the fifth grade students participated in the event, successfully launching rockets and applying skills that could lead them into future STEM careers.
