Haitian Flag Day Celebration – We are Haiti, We are Proud
Seagull School Center students got the chance to showcase their diversity and pride for their home country Haiti, as part of the District’s observance and celebration of May as Haitian Heritage Month and Haitian Flag Day. The celebration at the Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center highlighted Haiti's cultural history through the ethnic sounds of Haitian music, dance and spoken word.

As a result of the success of the Summer Work Days program in previous years, the District continues its Summer Work Days schedule for 2017. The four-day workweek begins the week of Monday, June 12 and ends on Friday, August 11. Schools and District offices will remain open Monday through Thursday with extended hours of operation, and closed on Fridays. Due to the July 4th holiday, the exception will be the week of July 3. Employees will work their traditional work hours during this week (including Friday) observing the Tuesday, July 4th national holiday. Summer Work Days
Broward County Public Schools Third Grade FSA English Language Arts Results Show Steady Increases
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) third grade students are making steady increases on the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) for English Language Arts. The Florida Department of Education released these results today. The full set of results from the spring 2017 administration of the FSA is expected to be released in the next several weeks.
