The School Board of Broward County, Florida partnered with the City of Pembroke Pines to host an inaugural Kindness Initiative event – Community Peace Meal Picnic.
Families and the community are invited to pack a lunch, bring decorated blankets and baskets, and enjoy performances by students from local schools, who will share messages of kindness, compassion and forgiveness. Picnic participants will also enjoy musical entertainment, a Peace Pole presentation and the creation of a human peace sign. The Community Peace Meal Picnic is free and the public is invited to attend.
