Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) students will start the 2018/19 school year on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. The new school year will begin earlier than usual, and start midweek – a change from the District’s traditional Monday start day.
The School Board of Broward County, Florida, today, December 5, 2017, approved the 2018/19 school year calendar at its meeting, citing a midweek start an option that allows days for teachers and students to settle and organize.

- Thanksgiving Break: Wednesday, November 21 – Friday, November 23, 2018
