Oakridge Elementary School, Fuel Up to Play 60 “Touchdown MVP” event with Former Dolphins Player Sam Madison

Autism in Flight, JetBlue Partners with Broward County Public Schools

The second annual Autism in Flight is a full-scale autism travel practice event for families and students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from five participating elementary schools – Silver Lakes, Park Springs, Everglades, Dania and Panther Run. William Dandy Middle School, National Prevention Week, Alcohol Awareness Event

United Way, F.L.A.W.L.E.S.S., Inc. and the Fort Lauderdale Police Department join William Dandy Middle in hosting an alcohol awareness event. The event includes guest speakers, hands-on activity stations and student performances.  For information, contact Geranda Odom, 754-322-3200.
Sawgrass Elementary School, Honors Students For FCAT Writing Achievement with Limo Ride and Luncheon at Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant

Sawgrass Elementary fourth grade students who achieved a 5.0 or higher on the FCAT Writing will be treated to a limo ride and lunch at Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant in Dania Beach. The annual recognition is sponsored by the school’s PTA. Three limousines are on standby for this year’s occasion. For information, contact Principal Sherry Rose, 754-322-8500.
Pines Lakes Elementary School, 35th Birthday Celebration, “Catch the Spirit”
Friday, May 30, 2014, 5 – 7 p.m.
Pines Lakes Elementary will commemorate its 35th year with a birthday style celebration including games, bounce houses, entertainment, student performances and more.
