Cypress Bay High School Selected to Participate in AT&T “It Can Wait” Campaign

WHY:               Cypress Bay High School has been selected by AT&T to be part of its “It Can Wait” texting and driving campaign, which promotes no texting while driving. AT&T representatives will visit Cypress Bay on Wednesday, March 12 to highlight the dangers of distracted driving and allow students to experience the dangers of texting while driving first-hand with a virtual reality driving chair simulator. The chair produces a 3-D driving simulation for students that re-create the eyes-off-the-road and hands-off-the-wheel experience of texting while driving. Students will be able to pledge their support for the campaign and experience the dangerous effects of texting while driving.
