WHY:              
With more than 1,200 books, reading-themed artwork, a listening center and a listening library, the Community Reading Oasis at Dania Elementary School provides a space for families to enjoy reading together and access to books to help build their home libraries. A collaborative effort between Dania Elementary, Broward Sheriff’s Office and Scholastic Books, this event includes student performances and a scholastic book fair. It’s all part of the Dania Beach Reads initiative, which is a Community Reading Alliance of dedicated Dania Beach businesses and community members who invest in the students of Dania Elementary and neighboring schools.
