Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Students, Teachers, District Staff, Parents, Community Members, PTSA Members, Broward Sheriff’s Office Explorer Cadets, City of Deerfield Beach Staff, Broward College Staff and Chick-fil-A Staff
Students from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Magnet Program at Deerfield Beach Middle School will create a memorial garden with help from community volunteers to honor the late Tuskegee Airman Lt. Colonel Leo Gray. Broward College awarded a $3,500 grant for the project. Home Depot also supports the project with a $200 donation, Chick-fil-A is providing lunch for the volunteers and the City of Deerfield Beach is providing assistance with the project.

12:15 – 1 p.m.: Lunch, opening remarks and unveiling of commemorative monument
1 – 3:15 p.m.: Volunteers create the memorial garden
