Indian Ridge Middle School to Host STEM Seminar

The Power of STEM is the title of an Envision College & Career Success Seminar to be held at Indian Ridge Middle School on Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 9 a.m. – noon. The free event is open to all students from the middle school and their parents. Students and parents from neighboring Fox Trail Elementary School, Flamingo Elementary School, Silver Ridge Elementary School and Country Isles Elementary School are also invited to attend.

The seminar will provide an introduction to the exciting world of 21st century STEM careers in science, technology, engineering and math. Through career-focused workshops, students and parents will explore pathways to success in STEM, both inside and outside of the classroom. Parents will gain new insights into the science of design thinking and how to raise independent, innovative thinkers.
