Taravella High School Students, Faculty, Staff, Parents, Community Members and Local Firefighters
Taravella High School DECA and SHAPE Clubs host their fourth annual 9/11 110-Story Stair Climb to pay tribute and honor firefighters and first responders who died in the 9/11 tragedy. An opening ceremony kicks off the event with two speakers who lost their firefighter sons in the line of duty – one in the 9/11 collapse of the Twin Towers and one in a local training accident. Student presentations will remember the 9/11 tragedy and recognize local firefighters.
Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 8 – 11 a.m.
J.P. Taravella High School, Auditorium
10600 Riverside Drive
Coral Springs, FL 33071
Participants will join firefighters in full gear to make the climb – 27 times up and down a three-story building – symbolic of the 110 stories at the World Trade Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for families of those lost in the line of duty.
MEDIA ARE INVITED TO COVER THIS EVENT.
