Student Health Fair
Deerfield Beach Middle School
701 SE 6th Ave, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441
When: Thursday, October 23, 2014 – 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Deerfield Beach Middle School students are taking part in a special Health Fair, as they learn about careers in the health care industry and/or careers requiring physical fitness. In addition, representatives from local businesses will be speaking to students about the importance of being physically fit and taking part in activities that promote healthy lifestyles. Community Wellness Day
Piper High School & Innovation Zone Schools,
8000 NW 44th Street, Sunrise 33351 (Piper Field)          
When: Friday, October 24, 20149 a.m. – Noon
Piper High School, a recipient of the 2014 Alliance for Healthy Generation award, is hosting a Community Wellness Day that includes sports skills stations, fun games, interactive exercises (individual and group), “Healthy” Club Student Showcase, group instruction, military training, blood mobile, health screenings, and athletic showcase services. The event is sponsored by the Miami Dolphins Academy and will include appearances by former Miami Dolphins players and Miami Dolphins cheerleaders.  For more information, contact Piper High School Assistant Principal Matt Dearen at 754-322-1700.
