Nearly 500 people, including parents, students, community members, School Board members, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Superintendent and BCPS employees participated in Ed Talk 2013 today. The second annual event took place at the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center from 8 a.m. – noon.
During Ed Talk, participants provided valuable feedback on District priorities and strategic goals, which are providing high-quality instruction, engaging in continuous improvement and providing effective communication. The interactive discussion sessions allowed participants to instantly provide responses to key questions and areas of interest.
“We had an incredible turnout today. It is exciting to see so many people taking time out of their weekend to partner with us as we continue to move the District forward,” said Superintendent Robert W. Runcie. “We must reset our priorities and maintain a relentless focus on improving student achievement. Ed Talk allows all of our stakeholders to be part of this important process.”
