Parkway Middle Student Winner of the City of Sunrise 2015 Calendar Art Contest

Congratulations to Savannah Dawson-Hamilton of Parkway Middle School of the Arts, on being recognized by the city of Sunrise for her extraordinary artwork on water conservation. Savannah will see her grand prize winning design titled “Why Water Matters: It’s Everywhere!” featured on the cover of the city of Sunrise’s 2015 calendar.
The water conservation contest was recently open to more than 1,000 participants. Students were encouraged to construct an original work of art that could be featured on city of Sunrise’s 2015 calendar.  

Parkway Middle School of the Arts, in Fort Lauderdale, provides students with an array of programs in music, dance and art. Core instruction is also integrated within the arts at Parkway Middle to help motivate students toward academic success. Students interested in participating in the rigorous programs offered at Parkway Middle must demonstrate creative talent or prepare a portfolio of artwork.
