Honor a Veteran: Vote with Confidence
When: September 17, 2015, 10:15 a.m. 
Where: Supervisor Of Elections Office, 1501 North State Road #7, Lauderhill, FL 33313
Students from six different BCPS high schools will take part in the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office Honor a Veteran: Vote With Confidence event by participating in a panel discussion with veterans. Student council groups from McArthur High School, Piper High School, Plantation High School, Stranahan High School and Stoneman Douglas High School will pose questions to veterans, in addition to a Color Guard presentation of the flags from Boyd Anderson High School. Dillard Center for the Arts & Old Dillard Museum Presents Nat Adderley, Jr. In Concert With the Award Winning DCA Jazz Ensemble
When: September 20, 2015, 3 p.m.  
Where: Dillard High School, 2501 NW 11th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311
Dillard Center for the Arts (DCA) in partnership with Old Dillard Museum will celebrate the birthday of the late saxophonist Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, at a concert featuring his nephew, Nat Adderley, Jr., a nationally renowned jazz pianist, and the DCA Jazz Ensemble. Between 1948 and 1956, the legendary “Cannonball” Adderley was a band director at Dillard High School. During his tenure, he taught at both the historic Old Dillard site, and the current Dillard High School. Tickets are available at www.dillardhigh.com/jazz  or at the door on the day of the concert.
