Bike to School Day With Special Guest NASCAR Driver, Scott Lagasse, Jr.

Silver Palms Elementary safety patrol student, Nicholas Alexander, is the Florida Department of Transportation’s 2015 “Bike to School” poster contest winner. To celebrate his win, NASCAR driver Scott Lagasse, Jr. will be at Silver Palms Elementary to bike with students, talk about bicycle safety and present Nicholas with an award. Park Lakes Elementary School Welcomes Sailors for Fleet Week

For the second consecutive year, Park Lakes Elementary welcomes U.S. Navy Sailors to its school during Fleet Week. The sailors will visit classrooms and speak at assemblies, sharing information about their careers and their experiences on board their naval ships. BCPS Kicks Off Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month With 6th Annual Walk Aware Event

Academic Success Workshop for Haitian Creole Families, Students and Community
Where: Fort Lauderdale High School, 1600 NE Fourth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305

The Academic Success Workshop provides information on community resources and preparing students for college. The event is a partnership between Fort Lauderdale High School, Bilingual/ESOL Department, Parent Engagement Office, the Children Services Council and the Broward Educational Foundation.
