WHY:              
The Painter Pre-Apprenticeship Program is a collaboration between Seagull Alternative High School, Proietto Painting Inc., and the Associated Builders and Contractors Institute. This Painter Pre-Apprenticeship Program teaches students the craftsmanship of the painting trade, while offering a hands-on laboratory component. Upon high school graduation and the successful completion of this pre-apprenticeship, Proietto Painting Inc., will offer students a full-time job and the opportunity to complete their apprenticeship training. In addition to these partnerships, several other companies have sponsored the program, including Sherwin-Williams, Purdy Tools and Ritz Safety.
