Sheridan Technical High Celebrates First Year Opening With Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WHY:                     Sheridan Technical High School will welcome students for the first time when school begins on August 18, 2014. The new school will open this school year at the former Sunset Learning Centre site in Fort Lauderdale. The repurposed campus, with its 30 classrooms, has been upgraded with new furnishings and state-of-the art technology. The facility will welcome 150 ninth-graders for its first year.
Students will take honors and advanced placement level courses, and participate in one of 20 technology programs offered at the technical school. They will graduate with a diploma and an industry certification. Tracks include surgical lab technician, legal administration assistance, culinary, automotive, computer programming and a variety of medical disciplines.
