Six BCPS High Schools to Participate in the Ninth-Grade Academies Expo

WHO:             Coral Springs High School, Deerfield Beach High School, Northeast High School, Nova High School, South Plantation High School, Stranahan High School, John Hopkins University and Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation (MDRC) representatives, School Board members, and community partners
WHAT:             Ninth-Grade Academies (NGAs) Expo
WHEN:             Wednesday, March 12, 2014, 5 – 6:30 p.m.
WHERE:           Nob Hill Soccer Club Park, 10200 Sunset Strip, Sunrise, FL 33322
WHY:               Six high schools involved in the federally-funded Ninth-Grade Academies Development Grant will showcase their school’s best practices and programs with other principals, District personnel and school stakeholders on Wednesday, March 12 at the Nob Hill Soccer Park. This celebration will feature a performance by the Deerfield Beach High School’s Jazz Band and Stranahan High School’s Culinary Department will provide refreshments.
