South Plantation High School Earth Day Plenary Session at GEER Conference

The South Plantation High Environmental Science and Everglades Restoration Magnet Program engages students through technological advancement, environmental education, and service learning, to students offer students new ways of learning and understanding. Below are the details about South Plantation High Earth Day Plenary student presentations:
·The Solar/Engineering Division will demonstrate “green life” with a focus on alternative energy as well as precision agriculture in the form of drone technology, infrared mapping and Arduino moisture sensors.
· The Everglades Restoration Ambassadors will participate in a panel discussion about water and everglades conservation.
· The Fairchild Challenge Competition Team will bring to light the advantages and disadvantages of pesticides through short skits. The topic of biodiversity will be presented through an award-winning BioBlitz rap.
·South Plantation High’s drama program will close the plenary session with a musical entertainment presentation.
