White House Officials Join BCPS for News Conference Announcing “Latinos in Action”

WHY:                    
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is proud to partner with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics to launch "Latinos in Action."  The launch showcases the commitment of BCPS towards increasing educational outcomes and opportunities for Hispanic students.  “Latinos in                      Action” will be an elective course piloted at six (6) BCPS high schools focused on three pillars:
 
  • Leadership
  • Literacy
  • Service
 
The White House officials, along with Dr. Enriquez, will be visiting Hollywood Hills High School and Charles W. Flanagan High School to speak with students, teachers and community members during a variety of activities. Wednesday’s events conclude with a news conference at Charles W.
