On, Saturday, January 23, 2016, a record turnout of approximately 700 people, including parents, students, business leaders, elected officials and community members joined Broward County School Board members, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Superintendent Robert W. Runcie and District staff for Ed Talk 2015/16. The fourth annual event took place at the Signature Grand in Davie, from 9 a.m. – noon.

Mark your calendars! Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) students will start the 2016/17 school year on Monday, August 22, 2016. The School Board of Broward County, Florida, approved the 2016/17 school year calendar at its December 8, 2015, School Board meeting.
Third, fourth and fifth grade students from Cooper City Elementary will participate in the Miami Dolphins Junior Training Camp. Students will learn skills in both NFL-style offensive and defensive drills using the same equipment as the Miami Dolphins, including hurdles, knock-away dummies, ladders and halfback pads.
