Dear Lloyd Estates Families,
Thanks for visiting our website. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your children to Lloyd Estates Elementary School, home of the “Tigers”, for the 2018-19 school year! The Lloyd Estates teachers and staff have an incredible and exciting year of learning planned for all of the students. We appreciate you choosing our school to educate and nurture your child. We are honored to have this opportunity to make this year a unique and valuable experience. We are committed to academic excellence. This year’s theme is “Game On: Hitting Our Targets!” Our targets for this school year are, improving guided reading groups, implementing effective read alouds and moving our school grade from a “C” to a “B”.
Your active support and cooperation, combined with our professional efforts, will help us reach our targets. Attending events such as Back-to-School Night, Open House, Title One Nights, ESOL Nights, parent/teacher conferences, serving on committees such as the School Advisory Council and coming to PTO meetings are all important ways that parents learn about what’s going on at school. When parents attend school functions, they demonstrate to their children that they value school and education. We need involved parents.
Special thanks go to our custodial staff, teachers, office staff, media clerk, coaches, aides, and volunteers for the organized and inviting classrooms awaiting our children as we begin this new school year. I invite you to come by and say, “Hello.” You are always welcomed. My primary goals are the education and safety of our children. We will continue to differentiate the curriculum and structure much of our day utilizing RtI, response to intervention, to meet the needs of all of our students. Every child will be provided a quality instructional experience as well as a balanced curriculum including the use of technology.
Children come first! Please remember that we cannot educate your child alone. It truly takes a village! Let’s have an amazing 2018-19 school year!
Sincerely, Ms. Shawn Allen, Principal
