    Dear Students, Families and Community,

We are honored, privileged and truly excited to lead McNab Elementary School. We have a combined educational experience of over 40 years and look forward to leading McNab Elementary School together again this year.

During the 2021-22 school year, we look forward to working shoulder to shoulder with each of you to elevate McNab Elementary to new heights of academic achievement and community recognition as we work through the challenges and changes the past 18 months has thrown us.  Know this, your teachers and staff are the best in Broward County and are excited to open our doors and welcome ALL of our students back on campus!

McNab Elementary will continue to provide students with a safe, caring and engaging school atmosphere that will focus on learning, academic achievement and providing a sound foundation to build upon their educational journey.

As you will see, we are firm believers in tailoring our educational tools to meet the individual needs of each student as much as possible. Furthermore, we believe in parent involvement and community involvement and encourage you to be proactive using teacher websites, social media, and contact information to remain connected to our school and be actively participating in your child’s education. Children benefit greatly when parents/guardians take an active role in their child’s education. It has been proven that when students have parental support at home, they enjoy their learning and school life even more. Student’s attitude and perception of school improves as they develop more self-confidence on their road to becoming life-long learners and solid contributors to our community.  Now more than ever we need this parental engagement to transfrom our teaching and learning back to a face-to-face model.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us for any assistance you may need.  We look forward to seeing you in person this year and welcoming our students back on campus!  We wish everyone much success this school year!  Stay safe and stay well.

Your proud principal and assistant principal,

    Dorys Palacio and Jennifer McGreevy
