    Message from Mrs. Hall

    Greetings Parkside Families (updated 08/05/2020),

Welcome back for the 20-21 school year!  Most of our parentlinks will be delivered each Friday. These will give you updates from our school and information on what is happening throughout the year.  We do understand you may receive several parentlinks from the District, but we do ask that you take the time to listen to our messages.  This is an important way for us to communicate with you all of the exciting things happening within our school.  If you do not wish to listen, it also comes through your email.  Please just make sure we have all of your updated information.

We want to welcome back all of our returning families and welcome new friends to Parkside.  During these difficult times, we want you to know how much we appreciate you entrusting your children to us to provide them with the best possible education through an online format.  As this start to the new year is new for all of us, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through this process.

As of today, ALL students, including Pre-K and our Special Programs, will begin the school year in online learning.  There is a possibility of face to face for special needs students, but this will NOT be happening until a later date.  Classes are in the process of being organized and your child's teacher will be reaching out to you when they return to work on August 12. Our school office is open for calls M-F from 7:30-3:00 and if you need to come in, you MUST call to make an appointment.

On Monday, August 10th and Tuesday, August 11th, we will be having a computer distribution for all new students to Parkside and anyone who may have not received a computer last school year.  These two days will NOT be for broken/exchange of current computers.  You will need to call the school to schedule an appointment for this to me taken care of.  The distribution times will be from 8am to 12pm.  Please make sure you are following CDC guidelines when coming to the school. All individuals MUST wear a mask and maintain the 6 feet social distancing. Students do not need to be present but parents must have their child's Clever Log-On information.   Staff will be set up right near the front doors to assist you.

In the next week, we will be sending out more information as it pertains to school starting, school lunch program and other pertinent information.

In the mean time, our website is in the process of being updated so we encourage you to check it out for up to date information as it rolls out.

We hope you all have a great evening and Thanks for Being a Part of Parkside Where we are Proud to Be Panthers.

    Laneia Hall, Principal
