    Message from Mrs. Hall

It is so hard to believe the Holiday Season is upon us. Where does the time go? As always, this time of year brings many blessings and reasons to be thankful; but it can also be a stressful time of year for families. Please remember to reach out to us if you are in need of support of if you see signs in your children that may create additional stress.

Over these last few months we have had so many wonderful activities. I first want to thank all of the 600 plus families who were able to come out and celebrate with us for Thanksgiving. This was our largest turnout yet and it was a HUGE success. We truly hope you and your families were able to enjoy a good meal and some quality time with your children. It is a blessing that we are able to have you in and let you be a part of this special occasion. I want to send a BIG thank you out to our cafeteria staff and the district staff who came out to assist us with this event. They did a terrific job on the food and the service. We hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving this Thursday as well.

We want to thank the Coral Springs Police Department for donating Thanksgiving Baskets to several of our families. We also want to thank many of you for donating items to our annual Harvest Drive, which also feeds many families in our community.

All students received their first quarter progress reports about a week ago and believe it or not, we are halfway through the second quarter of school. It is so important you stay connected to how your child is doing academically. We know how busy this time of year can get, but please remember to always place your child’s education at the top of the list.

Throughout this month we will have several events going on: Field Days, Polar Express Day, and PTA Holiday shop. Please pay close attention to the weekly parent links to stay connected.

Just a friendly reminder about cell phone use in the car loop, please refrain from using them at all during dismissal or arrival. Our SRO’s have been giving verbal warnings, but will start to give tickets out. This is a new law and could lead to a $200 ticket. We have still had several of you on your devices during this time. Our main priority during arrival and dismissal is to ensure that your children are safe and when cell phones are being used, these can cause distractions. We appreciate your support with this situation.

We hope that your Holiday Season is a joyous occasion and you enjoy time with our family and friends.

    Laneia Hall, Principal
