Assistant Principal's Message
July 30, 2018
Dear Walker Family,
Welcome back to the 2018-2019 academic school year at wonderful Walker Elementary School. I am incredibly proud to be your assistant principal, and it is an honor to serve you. We have certainly accomplished a great deal since we arrived in 2015. In the past two years, no school achieved a greater increase in student achievement points than Walker Elementary. Our accomplishments are a testament to the determination of our students, parents, and teachers. The improvement in our school grade is directly related to the entire Walker community’s support, strong work ethic, and love of our students.
The beginning of 2018 will provide an opportunity for all of our students to represent all that is great about Walker Elementary School, Ft. Lauderdale, Broward County, and the great State of Florida. Your child’s education and safety are our top priority. We will enhance our efforts to effectively integrate our positive behavior curriculum, social-emotional learning, and effective discipline through our multi-tiered system of support. We look forward to building on the foundation that has been cultivated, and working with and supporting all stakeholders to add to the rich history, culture, and legacy of Clarence C. Walker, Sr., our school’s namesake.
Under Mr. Bullock’s innovative leadership, we will continue to inspire and motivate our students to excel academically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. At Walker, long-term success starts by developing minds, cultivating leadership skills, building positive relationships, and empowering students. Our staff is dedicated to maximizing each student's potential, while exceeding their expectations. We have laid the foundation for positive character development and we will continue to nurture and enrich the leaders of tomorrow. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” Our goal At Walker Elementary is to provide an educational experience that will develop well-rounded critical thinkers primed for success. Our Wildcats are not just great students, but also great citizens. As a Walker Family, we will have the most fruitful year in Wildcat history.
Mr. T. Eligon
