Principal Frazier Bio

  • Principal Steve Frazier has worked for Broward Public Schools for over 27 years as a language arts teacher, assistant principal and principal. He has been a principal for over thirteen years and is currently the principal at Silver Trail Middle School; he has been at Silver Trail Middle School since July 2009. Prior to this, he served as principal at Henry D. Perry Middle School.

    As principal, he continues to participate on the Middle School Principals Executive Board and has been for over eleven years. During the 2011-2012 school year, he was elected as the Middle Level Chairperson. He also serves as an Innovation Zone Facilitator, is a DDI Certified Trainer and conducts and participates in professional development and panels for various Talent Development Leadership Programs (i.e. LEAD, Interim AP & Interim Principal Programs, etc.). He has been an Intern Principal Mentor for several candidates as well.

    Principal Frazier has been a long-standing member of the Broward Principals’ & Assistants’ Association (BPAA) and has served on the Board of Directors since 1999. He is currently the BPAA Treasurer and has served in this position for eleven years.

    Besides being active on BPAA’s Board of Directors, Principal Frazier is currently the Past-President and Southern Region Director of the Florida Association of Secondary School Principals (FASSP). He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of School Administrators (FASA) and for the Florida Schools Music Association (FSMA). Additionally, Principal Frazier serves as the Executive Director for the Florida League of Middle Schools (FLMS), and he also serves as the Chairperson of the Gay Lesbian & Ally School Employee Network (GLASEN).

    The Florida Council of PTA recognized Principal Frazier as the 2014 Florida Outstanding Principal of the Year. In 2007, he received the Outstanding Educator Award by Eastern Financial.
