Thank you for choosing Tamarac Elementary School as your educational home for your child. We hope that you will find our school a welcoming and loving place for your family.

As you know, Broward County Public Schools experienced one of the worst school tragedies in U.S. history. Our Superintendent and Leadership of the District have instructed schools to look at all functions through a very different lens.  This is going to impact each one of us. We began back in April implementing changes to our safety procedures and outlining new ones that would be implemented this school year. These changes will require parents to allow more time when dropping off and picking up students, ensure that communication between the home and teacher is kept current, and will require patience on the part of everyone. Please know as the school year progresses, it may become necessary to make adjustments to our procedures. We ask your ongoing support and understanding as we coordinate with BCPS, law enforcement, and City and County officials to provide a safe and secure learning environment for your child.

Even though we will be implementing many new safety procedures, you can expect that our classrooms will be devoted to learning and student achievement through high quality instruction. We look forward to a wonderful school year!
