Junior Honor Society is a service organization run by 8th grade students at Tequesta Trace Middle School.
We raise thousands of dollars each year for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, UNICEF, Childnet and Make a Wish. We participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk as well as supporting a large team for Relay for Life. Each Wednesday morning the JHS students provide free tutoring for students in the Media Center free of charge.
In order to apply to be a member, student must wait till February of their 7th grade year. They also need teacher recommendations, at least a 3.65 GPA, as well as a completed resume. Dues are typically $20 a year. We have a formal induction ceremony in late Spring to welcome all our new JHS inductees. We are one of the largest, as well as one of the hardest working clubs at Tequesta Trace Middle school!
The club is sponsored by Mr.Slamowitz, Mrs. Dillmeier and Mr. Piglia.
