Assistant Director's Message
Hello ATC Students and Families,
I am excited to be welcoming everyone to the new school year, both those of you who are new to ATC, and our returning upperclassmen. The past several months have been both difficult and inspiring. The ongoing global pandemic has caused tremendous sorrow, but also astounding acts of heroism, bringing families and friends closer together despite having to maintain social distancing. The ongoing pursuit to achieve equity and equality for all has been profound and we will certainly continue to do our part to remove obstacles in order to ensure that our diverse student population will achieve.
As the school year prepares to begin in an eLearning environment, the ATC faculty and staff have been diligently training and collaborating to offer the best classroom experience possible. In addition to each course’s required curriculum, there will be a focus on social-emotional growth and maintaining a positive classroom environment. It is very, very, important that all students participate in the live class sessions every single day, just as they would if we were physically present. Teachers will be live via Teams for every class, every day. During this improved eLearning, it will not be enough to just login and complete some work; participation in the live sessions during your scheduled class time will be required in order to do well. Besides, this will be a great time to catch up with some friends you may not have seen in a long while!
As we move forward, please be sure to check the ATC High School Website on a regular basis for updates. I am looking forward to the time where we can all be together in person once again!
