     Hello Silver Palms Families,

It is with excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year at Silver Palms Elementary. The challenges of the past year only served to bring us closer together and make us stronger. Let me reassure you that Silver Palms teachers, staff and administrative team will continue to work diligently to ensure that our students will experience high quality teaching in a safe and kind environment. Our focus is the safety and overall welfare of all stakeholders. As we begin our journey back to face-to-face learning we will continue to soar by elevating and enhancing our academic excellence because at Silver Palms Elementary we are champions of our own success!

For returning families, I look forward to seeing you all and continuing to serve you, and the entire Silver Palms Elementary community. For families new to Silver Palms, WELCOME! I am excited to meet you and your children. My teachers, staff and administrative team are here to support your family in transitioning to our amazing neighborhood school. Our staff and school community are committed to providing the best educational experience for your child. Let us know how we may be of service!

We are committed to excellence and preparing our children to be successful members of a global community. Research has identified 21st century skills that our students need in order to be successful in life. We will work to provide our children with these vital skills: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, strong technology skills, ethics, and accountability.

We are excited to continue providing Dual Language classes, Robotics, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), Debate and the Arts.  These among many other academically strong programs will be implemented. Furthermore, our character development programs will continue as they are a vital aspect of education to help our children develop a kind, respectful and caring nature. Character education has a positive impact on our children’s educational experiences and social growth! Here at Silver Palms “Kindness and Respect is our Culture!”

We cannot do the work without our families, and each year we strive to strengthen our home-school partnership and encourage all of you to see it as a goal to become more engaged in the Silver Palms Elementary community. We encourage you to attend SAC (School Advisory Council) meetings, become a volunteer, or join us at a school event! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful families, and your support makes all the difference. Thank you all for your commitment to Silver Palms Elementary! It is such an amazing place for our children to learn and grow!

    Luckiest Principal,

    Irina Shearer
