Mr. Thompson's Friday Message
This is Mr. Thompson the proud Principal at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and this is your weekly update of events happening at MSD:
This message is for Friday, November 16, 2018:
I hope you enjoyed your Veteran’s Day holiday Monday. I am proud to say that we honored over 50 veterans that have served our country who have children that attend MSD this past Friday, here on campus. Thank you for your service and allowing us to honor you.
Report cards were distributed Wednesday and Thursday of this week, please ask your child to see it.
Interim Reports will be distributed Tuesday of next week, Nov 20. Parents remember the interim is a snapshot in time, the most up to date grades and attendance are on Pinnacle. Check regularly.
Reminder: there is NO SCHOOL next Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday for the Thanksgiving Break.
Good Luck to The Eagle Regiment this weekend as they conclude their marching season at the Tropicana Dome in St. Pete as they go for back to back State Championships. I am clearing some space on the trophy shelf.
Thank you to those that attended our “prevention series” Wednesday. We received a lot of positive feedback regarding the information presented. Thank you to 2-1-1, SaferWatch, BSO, and the United Way.
The next yearbook senior design night is 12/6 from 5-8. This is your opportunity to create a personal dedication for your graduating senior. Please email email@example.com for appointment information.
Eagle Eye, the MSD student newspaper, was recently awarded the Pacemaker Award from the National Scholastic Press Association. This is the Pulitzer Prize of scholastic journalism. Congrats to adviser Melissa Falkowski & her staff for all of their hard work.
