Principal's Friday Message

    This is Mrs. Hall, Principal at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and this is your weekly update of events happening at MSD:

    Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please take a moment to thank a teacher that has impacted your life.

    There will be an Early Release Day next Thursday, May 9, with dismissal at 12:40.

    Seniors: Exam Exemption forms have been distributed. Due to Super Testing half days; the deadline for return will be extended to Friday, May 10. All forms must be turned in by 2:40pm on May 10. No Exceptions.

    Also Seniors, don’t forget to purchase your parking pass for graduation. Each vehicle must have a parking pass. Purchase online for $7 through May 17. Passes will be distributed with cap/gown/tickets.  Visit website for more information.

    Class of 2020,  Junior parents and students you are invited to a financial aid information night on Monday, May 13th from 6 PM - 8PM in the MSD Auditorium.  Mrs. Farrand, the BRACE Advisor, will be conducting a presentation that will provide an overview on how to get started with the financial aid application process.

    Supertesting Days will end next week. Be sure to get a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast prior to your test.
    School hours on the Super Testing days will be from 7:40-11:30am, with buses rolling at 11:40am - similar to a PSD Day.
          Monday, May 4: Algebra 1/Geometry, Day 1
        Tuesday, May 5: Algebra 1/Geometry, Day 2
    Must have your student ID
    NO CELL PHONES must be off an out of sight during testing

    Advanced Placement testing is May 6-17.  AP students must sit for the test in order to get the 2 quality points towards their GPA. AP students have been made aware of this from their AP teacher.

    This Saturday, May 4th is the final SAT/ACT prep course review.  Registration will start at 8:30am in room 210 and classes will be from 9-10:30am.  
    EOC Test Review sessions are only for Algebra 1 and Geometry this Saturday, May 4th. Registration will start at 9am in room 210, classes will be from 9:30am -11am.  

    Yearbooks are on sale at Books will be distributed mid-May.
