Mrs. Sherman was born in New York and went to Queens College. She is married and has two sons. She has a terrier named Casey. She likes to go bike riding, go to the gym, and participate in walk-a-thons.
Mrs. Sherman was encouraged to become a teacher by her sixth grade teacher. She enjoys teaching poetry, and loves to read. Her favorite childhood books were the Nancy Drew Mysteries by Carolyn Keene. She has taught pre-school through second grade.
Mrs. Sherman’s favorite life skill is responsibility. She has learned from her experiences that “the greater part of our happiness depends on our dispositions.” One of her greatest achievements includes her participation in a triathlon for breast cancer. Also, Mrs. Sherman is a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Society International. What an incredible teacher!
