  • The Environmental Health & Safety Division is driven by the goal of preventing human injury and illness and promoting well-being by identifying and evaluating environmental and hazardous agents and limiting exposures to hazardous physical, chemical, and biological agents in air, water, soil, food, and other environmental media or settings that may adversely affect human health. This task is accomplished through the use of Inspections, Investigations, Consultations, and Training Sessions.

    MISSION: To maintain safe and healthy working and learning environments, facilitate increased awareness and efficient use of energy and other natural resources, and ensure regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and District protocol.
