Volunteerting at CPE
Once you have a volunteer badge, you are ready to get involved in making a difference at Central Park Elementary. If you haven’t already, learn more about each of the different volunteer activities by clicking the different links on this page. Our Volunteer Coordinator is Heather Vallee at CPEVolunteers@gmail.com.
For more information about PTA-sponsored programs, contact PTA via email at http://centralparkpta.my-pta.org.
Contact your child’s teacher if you are interested in being a room parent or participating in classroom centers/activities. Signing up for all activities is usually done on Open House Night (see Events Calendar on the home page for the date of this event).
Volunteer Orientation is the opportunity to become involved in school programs and activities, meet the coordinators of the various volunteer programs, review policies and procedures, and learn more about the many ways in which you can volunteer (see Events Calendar on the home page for date of this event).
Log your volunteer hours! Central Park Elementary is a proud winner of the Golden School Awards, an award given to schools with twice as many volunteer hours as students. Volunteers who log 200 or more hours receive special recognition at the year-end Volunteer breakfast.
Use your badge to sign in and sign out of the STAR system in the front office, and use the Volunteer Attendance Log for hours not recorded in the STAR or other volunteer monitoring system. Contact Mrs. Martinez at 754-322-5700 with any questions or concerns about your volunteer hours.
Reminder - Volunteers MUST have their volunteer badges with them to participate in volunteer activities. You will not be permitted to go anywhere on campus or on any field trip without your badge.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2016-2017 ADULT, SENIOR, PROGRAM, AND MENTOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR!!!
