School's Dress Code
Apollo Middle School has a unified dress code that is enforced. Students should begin wearing their school uniform on the very first day of school this August. Click on the desired language link to find out more information about our dress code in English or Spanish.
Shirts: Red, White, or Blue polo or (school spirit) shirts. Students may wear a T-shirt under under the polo shirt provided it does not hang below the uniform shirt.
Pants: Navy Blue, black, or Khaki Docker-style pants or Blue Jeans (only Blue) are acceptable.
Shorts, Capris, or Skirts: Navy Blue, Black, or Khaki.
Students not in dress code will be given a consequence. Please call us at school if you have any questions or concerns.
Benefits of a Uniform Policy
Research suggests that school uniforms
- Improve discipline, self-esteem and self-respect.
- Focus the student towards learning.
- Eliminate the fear of whether their clothing choice will be acceptable by peers.
- Strengthens school pride.
- Identify student population from strangers on school grounds.
- Cost effective.
The uniform committee will only consider waivers for religious reasons. Parents MUST submit a letter from their clergy along with the waiver request. A Parent or Guardian may request by mail, or in person, an application for an exemption from the uniform program. Exemption waivers must be completed by the 10th day of the student's enrollment.
