Drop Off and Pick Up Times
Please do not drop students off before 6:50 AM and make certain students leaving school after dismissal are picked up by 3 PM. All gates will be secured at 3 PM and the only entrance into school will be at the gate by the marquee.Parent drop off in the morning may only enter off Stirling Road by the school marquee and should not arrive before 6:50 AM.Parent afternoon pick up for students going home after dismissal must enter campus before 3 PM using the entrance off of Stirling Road by the school marquee and following the parent loop by the front of the school.Parents and visitors coming on campus between these times, enter in the similar way, but must pass through a security check point and show proper ID.After 3 PM, students in afternoon activities should be picked up on the south side of campus using the Stirling Road entrance, but making a quick left once entering campus and exit using the same entrance.
Early dismissal should be avoided. Due to district policy and the safety of all students, no child should be released between 2 and 2:30 p.m. We ask that parents make doctor and dentist appointments after school hours when possible. Otherwise, your children may miss activities that maybe difficult to make up. Please note that all early dismissals are logged onto the District System and are a part of the Broward Truancy Intervention Process.
Students will be released only to those persons listed on the registration. If your child is to be released to another adult, written permission MUST be given by the parent and approved by the principal or designee. Due to security reasons we cannot grant telephone request for students to leave early. All students must be signed out through the school office. These procedures are designed to protect our students. Your help in maintaining a safe environment for our students is greatly appreciated. Please know your child's grade, teacher's name and have your driver’s license or Florida ID available when you arrive to dismiss your child from school during the school day.
Safety Procdures When Driving on Campus
Please remember as well, all campus visitors and staff are required to follow posted warning & safety signage, blinking lights/signage, speed limits of 5 mph, orange traffic cones and safety directions at all times while on campus.
This includes a prohibition of cell phone usage while in a parent pick-up lane or driving on campus.
