Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:
The safety and security of our students, staff and schools remain the highest priorities for Broward County Public
Schools (BCPS). We encourage everyone to ‘say something if you see something’ because the safety of our
schools is the collective responsibility of the entire community.
We want to make you aware of a couple of resources that have been developed to improve public safety by
allowing individuals to report potential threats and suspicious activity. These free mobile phone apps are both
available for download on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.
This app is supported by the Broward Sheriff’s Office, it allows individuals in Broward County the ability to communicate with law enforcement seamlessly and report potential threats and suspicious activity.
Visit https://www.saferwatchapp.com/broward/ for more information about the SaferWatch app.
FortifyFL allows individuals to instantly report suspicious activity to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.

Anonymous Tip Line
As a reminder, BCPS also monitors its own anonymous tip line for reporting potential school threats or other school-related safety and security concerns. Parents and students can report tips in a number of ways.
- Call (754) 321-0911
- Text SBBC with a tip to 274637 (CRIMES)
- Email a concern to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Submit an electronic tip at https://www.browardschools.com/Anonymous-Tips
Please remember these methods of reporting are NOT a replacement for calling 9-1-1, when there is a crime in
progress or an emergency. BCPS encourages parents and students to be vigilant in reporting all suspicious
activity to the appropriate authorities, regardless of your preferred method of communication. Working together,
we can improve the safety in schools and our community.
