Principal's Message

    Jill Slesinski

It is with enormous pride that I have the opportunity to serve the Norcrest Tiger community, parents, and students, as your current Interim Principal. Having the opportunity to influence young people and the chance to mold their lives in a positive manner is truly an honor and a privilege I do not take lightly. Every child deserves a 21st-century education and meeting the needs of this generation, students are given a better chance in our ever-growing global economy. I want to thank the Norcrest Elementary School staff, community members, teachers, and students for welcoming me to The Tiger Den! Parents, we need you…your support and involvement in your child’s education are paramount.

Mrs. Slesinski was born and raised in Middletown, NY. As the daughter of a college professor and guidance counselor, the importance of education was evident. In 2001, Mrs. Slesinski graduated high school to begin her Bachelor Degree in Mathematics Education from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY, where she was a two-sport collegiate scholar-athlete. After graduating in 2005, Mrs. Slesinski moved to Fort Lauderdale where she began her teaching career at Nova Middle School. In 2008, Mrs. Slesinski graduated with her Master Degree in Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University. During Mrs. Slesinski’s time at Nova Middle School, she assumed various leadership roles and graduated with her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University in 2015. Mrs. Slesinski began her administrative journey at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School in 2015 where she served as the 6th-grade Assistant Principal. Most recently in 2018, Mrs. Slesinski was admitted into the Principal Preparation Program and had the opportunity to act as the Summer Term Principal at Norcrest in the summer of 2018. It was then that Mrs. Slesinski found her passion for leading at the elementary school level and her love for Norcrest Elementary School.

Norcrest Elementary School is a special place where all stakeholders work together to provide all students with the best education and learning experience possible.

I look forward to getting to know you and thank you for allowing me to serve your community.

    Mrs. Jill Slesinski, Interim Principal
