    Pre-sale tickets for tomorrow's football game will be on sale during both lunches at the L-counter.

    MSD Speech & Debate and The Eagle Eye Newspaper are selling school apparel. Check The Eagle Eye’s website for a link to the sale or ask a newspaper or debate peer to airdrop you a link to the sale. Rumor has it Mr. Lechtman bought a school sweat-suit. The sale ends Monday November 4th, so buy now.

    Any students who filled out an application to mentor with Big Brother/Big Sisters at Westglades, please turn in your applications to Ms. Zimmerman in the front office.

    Congratulations to both Boys and Girls Bowling Team on their performance during yesterdays's District Championship.  Boys placed 10th out of 19 teams and the Girls qualified for the afternoon's Knock-Out Round and finished 4th.   MSD will have Ashley Paris representing our school in the State Championships next week in Orlando.  She qualified as the top Girls Individual to advance to next week.  Congratulations to Ashley and both teams!

    Congratulations to the MSD boy's golf team for winning districts yesterday. Winning by one stroke over western with a total score of 306 to 307. Low score for Douglas was Kody Finn with a 73.

    Attention 9th, 10th & 11th grade students who registered for the PSAT. Please make sure to check the testing locators outside of Student Services, the Cafeteria and the Media Center so that you know where to report tomorrow for PSAT.

    There will be girls softball interest meeting in portable 23 immediately after school this Thursday. Anyone interested please plan on attending.

    Join us today at 5pm as the Lady Eagles volleyball team takes on Coral Springs in the first round of districts. Admission is $6 and wear all black!

    For the PSAT tomorrow, we will be changing the sign-out procedure. If students wish to sign-out after the PSAT they may bring a note from their parent to give them permission to leave. The note MUST contain the following information: a copy of the parent's driver license, permission for the student to leave campus at the conclusion of PSAT, the student's name and the parent's signature. The student must then take the note to Student Affairs to sign-out before leaving campus. Due to the large number of students who choose to sign out after the test, this will be the only accepted sign-out method at the conclusion of testing. Even if a student has a note from their parent, they will not be dismissed until the scheduled end time of the PSAT.

    The MSD JROTC Raider Teams Varsity and JV competed at Everglades HS this Saturday, winning 7 individual Trophies and (2) 3rd Place Overall.

    Congratulations to Sara Ochoa for winning a silver medal at the Copa Sparta International freestyle wrestling championships in Puerto Rico this past week. In Sara's gold medal match, she lost by criteria in an exciting 17-17 match.

    Sophomores and Juniors: Are you considering taking dual enrollment classes? If you are, then considering the UF dual enrollment program. A UF dual enrollment presentation will take place on Monday, October 14th at 9:15 am. Every 10th and 11th grader who has an unweighted GPA of 3.6 or higher is invited to attend. For a pass, you must see your guidance counselor as your GPA must be verified for attendance.

    Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s PTSO is offering a Practice SAT and ACT on Friday, October 18th, which is an employee planning day. Students are invited to choose the practice exam they’d to take on this day! Save the date & your spot now. The cost is only $10.     Science Olympiad will be having an interest meeting after school today in room 1307. Students can compete in events ranging from anatomy to astronomy and can participate in district, state, and national competitions. You do not have to be in Science National Honor Society to join, but you will fulfill ALL your SNHS hours if you do!

    Freshmen who pre-ordered their spirit shirts can pick them up today after school in C14

    The Catholic Club will be holding their second meeting on Monday 14th after the flash mob in room 911. There will be refreshments and relaxation. Hope to see you all there.

    Rho Kappa Social Studies National Honor Society is hosting their first meeting for new inductees on after school today in Mr. Nastasi's room, portable C10.

    Sophomores and Juniors: Are you considering taking dual enrollment classes? If you are, then considering the UF dual enrollment program. A UF dual enrollment presentation will take place on Monday, October 14th at 9:15 am. Every 10th and 11th grader who has an unweighted GPA of 3.6 or higher is invited to attend. For a pass, you must see your guidance counselor as your GPA must be verified for attendance.

    The Ladies of Destiny Step Team will have tryouts from 10/14-10/16 from 3-4:30 in the cafeteria. You need to wear a white top, black bottoms, sneakers & bring water.
