Required Mental Health Instruction

To ensure this and to be in compliance with Florida Statute 1003.42 and State Board of Education Rules (SBER) 6A- 1.094122 and 6A-1.094123, schools shall annually provide instruction related to Child Trafficking and Substance Abuse education to all students. Additionally, Rule 6A-1.094121 requires Mental and Emotional Health instruction for all students in grades 6-12. The content areas to be taught are mental and emotional health, substance use and abuse prevention, internet safety and/or human trafficking, and character education.
