Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is committed to preparing students to be emotionally resilient and academically prepared for success in a global community. To ensure this and to be in compliance with Florida Statute 1003.42 (2). schools shall annually provide instruction related to child trafficking and substance abuse education to all students. The content included in the required comprehensive health education lessons explore life skills that build confidence, support mental and emotional heath, substance use and abuse prevention, internet safety and/or human trafficking, and character education which will enable students to overcome challenges.
