Assistant Principal's Message
Dear Colbert Family,
It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal at Colbert Museum Magnet School of Distinction! I am impressed with the educational environment and culture that has been established at Colbert to ensure that each of our students are well prepared for the challenges of our ever-changing global society. The vision of our community, faculty and staff is one I have held dear to my heart during the 27 years of my educational career. I truly believe all students can learn if provided with a safe, supportive environment to build confidence and the mindset that learning is a life-long journey.
I began my journey in the educational field when I was initially hired as Media Clerk in 1992 at Nova Blanche Foreman Elementary. My passion grew as I worked closely with students and shared their excitement and enthusiasm for learning. As the years passed, I moved from Media Clerk to Office Manager to Classroom Teacher. I hold a Reading Endorsement, Gifted Endorsement and ESOL Endorsement. In 2011, I received my Master’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University in Educational Leadership and became the Assistant Principal for Norcrest Elementary. I served as an Administrator for Norcrest Elementary for eight years, all the while advocating for students and families in their quest to provide a nurturing and engaging educational environment for our next generation.
I am very excited and pleased to serve the Colbert community now. If I may be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to call me.
Yours in Education,
