Beanstack "Level Up" Summer Reading Challenge
Looking for a way to keep your students reading through the summer?
Class won't be in session while school is out, but you still can beat the summer and COVID slide. We’ve partnered with Thorndike Press and Mark Cuban to bring you our first National K12 Summer 2021 Reading Challenge, “Level Up.” Mark Cuban is generously supplying cash prizes & Thorndike Press will donate prize packs that allow libraries to build their large print collections. Both BCPS and Broward Public Library (BCL) use Beanstack. Parents/Students can set up tandems to allow their school and library accounts to be linked! This is a great way to encourage collaboration between BCPS and BCL and boost participation in reading challenges. Below you will find resources to help link both accounts.
When an account is linked, all eligible logged reading will count logs and challenges on both accounts. Accounts can only be linked via the reader view on the web app. Linking is not available on the administrative dashboard or inside the mobile app. Once linked, all logging will count on both the school and library sites, regardless of where logging is done (web or mobile app).

Summer at Your Broward County Library
2020-2021 Summer Reading Challenge "Tails and Tales"
Spend the summer winning prizes for reading, learning, and trying new things. Read and learn with us this summer! Pre-registration begins May 1st. Challenge runs from June 1st - August 14th.
Here's how it works:
- Create a Broward County Library Beanstack account.
- Log the books you've read on Beanstack's website or in the Beanstack Tracker app (Apple or Android).
- Read, write reviews, and complete activities anytime between June 1 and August 14 to earn chances to win prizes.
If your reader is a Broward County Public Schools student, be sure to link your school and public library accounts so your reading gets logged in both places all summer.
