The 2020/21 school year is focusing on adaptability, agility and flexibility. The District will continue to be guided by public health expertise, community dialogue, and collaboration with teachers. Learning options to be offered during the school year are expected to include:
- Learning: Phase 3 welcomes students, teachers and staff to return safely into our schools, while allowing parents to continue to chose learning at home for their students. The BCPS Spring 2021 Education Plan was approved by the Florida Department of Education. The plan includes many innovatives ideas for Semester 2 that will offer enhanced education opportunities for our teachers and students.
- eLearning: Phase 2 (began in October) links to a student’s school and provides a personalized online learning experience that reinforces existing connections with peers, teachers, and the school community. Families have the option of the student receiving eLearning instruction either from home or by being physically present in the school. This is a continuation of Phase 1 BCPS eLearning with the following changes:
- Teachers provide eLearning from the school classroom.
- Students have the option to receive eLearning: Phase 2 from home OR from the classroom.
- eLearning: Phase 1 (began on August 19) - links to a student’s school and provides a personalized online learning experience that reinforces existing connections with peers, teachers, and the school community. All students receive instruction from home or another location arranged by the family.
