The Dual Enrollment Program at Broward College (BC) is an accelerated program that allows eligible students to take postsecondary coursework and simultaneously earn both high school and college credits, saving both time and money! Dual Enrollment students are exempt from the payment of application fees, tuition and laboratory fees. College courses are offered at BC campuses and centers, including the Broward College Online campus, and on our very own Flanagan Campus!
Through Dual Enrollment, students in grades 9 and 10 can take 1 college course per semester. Juniors can take up to 2 courses per semester, however only 1 course through BC’s campus and 1 course through Flanagan’s campus. Seniors are eligible to take up to 3 courses per semester, however again, only 2 courses through BC’s campus, the other course must be through Flanagan’s campus.
Early Admission, a form of dual enrollment, allows eligible high school senior students to enroll in at least 12 credits per term, Fall and Spring. Early Admissions seniors take all their course work through Broward College and have no active classes on Flanagan’s campus, but can still participate in all senior activities.
To be eligible for Dual Enrollment or Early Admission through BC, you must have a 3.0 unweighted GPA and have passing test scores. Please contact your school counselor for more information.
Career Dual Enrollment is an option for high school students to enroll in postsecondary courses creditable toward both high school graduation and a career and technical program certificate.
