If you need to report something, you can do so ANONYMOUSLY! No one will ever be able to know where the report came from. We need you to help keep our schools and our children safe, so if there is something going on that needs to be reported please do so!

Our text messaging service, TipSoft, allows us to respond by text message to the originating cell phone without ever knowing the identity of the individual who left the tip. The user’s information is always given an alias and a unique ID before being sent. This secure application allows the tipster and the investigator to have two-way dialog while always keeping the user’s identity completely anonymous.

The School Board of Broward County encourages students to report information about any non-urgent illegal activity, such as vandalism, theft, the sale and distribution of drugs or information about crimes that are being planned.

    STAR SYSTEM

Keeping our students safe is a priority at Maplewood Elementary School. When visiting our campus you need to come to the main office and sign in and get your picture taken by the STAR system.

This system, known as STAR (Security Track and Response), has many advantages. We can check for sexual offenders and predators. We can also track students arriving late and/or leaving early, on-line volunteer registration, and some other great features to help keep the school a safe place for our children.

We ask that you report to the front office whenever you visit our campus for any reason. You should bring an official photo ID with you, like your driver’s license, Florida’s official state identification card, or a passport.

We thank you ALL for your understanding and your support.
