Before and After Care

  • Our mission is to provide students with an inclusive child care program that is safe and nurturing in a comfortable environment. A culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of each child; and a program that meets the highest quality of child care standards.

  • The 21st Century Community Learning Centers program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

The YMCA Afterschool programs are available at our YMCA Family Centers and various Community Locations in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. We provide support with a caring and encouraging environment. We empower them by providing programming that, in addition to giving them something to do, builds academic and creative abilities. Our after-school activities, which range from leadership development and the arts to sports and fitness, give kids the opportunity to become confident kids today and healthier, happier grown-ups tomorrow. In addition to enriching lives, we are cultivating the values, skills, and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and educational achievement.
