Currently, there are over 21,000 children being served in 184 Before and/or After School Child Care Programs throughout the District. Programs are provided at elementary schools, some middle schools, and all centers. These are either School Board operated or are operated by a private provider. The principal, in collaboration with the School Advisory Council (SAC), will select the provider for each location.
Your child will have the opportunity to have a snack, do their homework with assistance, and then participate in several scheduled activities. These will include an academic enhancement, a technology session, creative play or dramatic arts, outdoor activity to enhance fitness, and a free choice.
