Accelerated Reader

  • Accelerated Reader is one of the reading programs used by our teachers in grades 2 through 5 to gauge student reading level and comprehension. Students read a book independently, then log on to Acccelerated Reader to take a quiz to test their comprehension. Quizzes can only be taken at school. However, students can log in at home, if they want to check their progress or view their reading book shelf. Students can access Accelerated Reader through their Clever launchpad. If you use the link to go to the website, the username is the student’s ID number, and the password is the student’s date of birth (mmddyyyy) without slashes. Do not use an internet search to link to the site, because each school’s site is unique, even though the log in page may look similar.

Accelerated Reader Bookfinder is a program parents and students can use to find out if a book has an Accelerated Reader quiz. You can quick search by title or perform an advanced search using the title, author, series, or ISBN number. Each search result shows the AR level, points, and quiz number for the book, as well as a short description.
